Your privacy matters to us. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you visit our website or get in touch, and what we do with it.

Who we are

Product Uploads is a trading name of Content & Messaging Management Pty Ltd (ABN 19 678 330 339), based in Wentworth Point, New South Wales, Australia. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Product Uploads. We provide done-for-you Shopify product upload and data-entry services to businesses around the world.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through productuploads.com, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. If you have a question about it, email us at hello@productuploads.com.

What we collect when you contact us

When you use our contact form, we ask for:

  • your name (required)
  • your email address (required)
  • your phone number (optional)
  • your industry and main product range, if you choose them on our industry pages (optional)
  • your message, including anything you choose to tell us about your business or products (required)

We use this information only to reply to your inquiry, prepare a quote and, if you become a client, to provide our services. We don't sell it, rent it or add you to a mailing list. If you email or call us directly, we handle what you send us in the same way.

To protect the form from spam and abuse, our website also checks how quickly the form was filled in, uses a hidden field that only automated bots complete, runs an automated bot check provided by our hosting provider, and briefly uses your IP address to limit how many messages can be sent in a short time. We don't store your IP address with your inquiry.

Analytics, advertising and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website (for example, which pages are popular) and Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to inquiries. These services use cookies and similar technologies and may collect information such as your device and browser type, approximate location, pages visited and an online identifier. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy.

We use Google Ads for measurement only. Our tags tell Google not to use your visit for remarketing or to show you personalized ads.

We use Google Consent Mode. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage is off by default and only turns on if you click “Accept” in our cookie banner. Everywhere else it is on by default, and you can switch it off at any time by clicking “Reject”. You can change your choice whenever you like using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.

We remember your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

Where your information is stored

Your information is stored and processed by our hosting and email service providers, who act on our instructions and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes. Some of these providers, and Google, store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. When we use overseas providers, we take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information in line with Australian privacy law.

We keep inquiries only for as long as we need them to respond to you, provide our services and keep proper business records, and then delete them. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access, to protect your information.

Australian privacy law

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.

If you have a complaint about how we handled your information, please email us first so we can try to fix it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

If you are in the EU or UK

If the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the UK GDPR applies to you, Content & Messaging Management Pty Ltd is the controller of your personal information. We rely on these legal bases:

  • Responding to your inquiry and providing a quote: our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using “Cookie settings”.
  • Spam and abuse protection: our legitimate interest in keeping our website and inbox secure.

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, to ask for a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, email hello@productuploads.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Our website and services are meant for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
