Product Uploads enters and uploads electronics, accessories, and gadgets to Shopify for you, working from manufacturer spec sheets, supplier price lists, and product photos. Here is how the service works in brief.

The problem, and the fix
Electronics are bought on specifications. A missing wattage, a wrong compatible model, or two variants sharing one barcode turns into a return, and supplier sheets describe the same spec in different words and units.
How we fix it: We write each spec in one format and unit across every brand you stock, such as 5,000 mAh, so products compare and filter correctly.
How we fix it: We set out compatibility as a clear list on every product, and split it into variants when the item itself changes by model, such as a phone case.
How we fix it: We give every color, capacity, and plug type its own SKU and the barcode the manufacturer assigned to it, and flag any duplicates before upload.
How we fix it: We keep barcodes as text from the source file and check that every one has the right number of digits before anything is uploaded.
How we fix it: We add new models, update prices and specs on existing products, and hide or archive discontinued models when you tell us to.
What we handle
We handle the full record for each product: identifiers, specifications, compatibility, variants, box contents, images, and collections. You tell us how your store presents specs, and we apply that format to every brand.

Here is how a supplier's charger rows become one Shopify product with a variant for each plug type and color. The product and its data are an example, not a real client.
A supplier sends one row per plug type and color, with the country in the product name, four ways of writing the wattage and color codes instead of names. One barcode has been turned into a rounded number by a spreadsheet:
| Part no. | Description | Color | Output | Barcode | Wholesale |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CH65-US-W | 65W GaN Charger USA plug | White | 65W | 2.00765E+12 | US$18.00 |
| CH65-UK-B | GaN charger 65 W UK | BLK | 65 W | 2007654300133 | US$18.00 |
| CH65-EU-W | 65w charger EU | WHT | 65w | 2007654300140 | US$18.00 |
| CH65-AU-B | 65W GaN charger (AU/NZ) | Black | 65 Watt | 2007654300171 | US$18.00 |
We turn it into one product with two options. 4 plug types × 2 colors = 8 variants under one handle, each with its own SKU and its full 13-digit barcode:
| Handle | Option1: Plug type | Option2: Color | Variant SKU | Variant barcode |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 65w-usb-c-charger | US (Type A) | White | CH65-US-W | 2007654300102 |
| 65w-usb-c-charger | US (Type A) | Black | CH65-US-B | 2007654300119 |
| 65w-usb-c-charger | UK (Type G) | White | CH65-UK-W | 2007654300126 |
| 65w-usb-c-charger | UK (Type G) | Black | CH65-UK-B | 2007654300133 |
| 65w-usb-c-charger | EU (Type C) | White | CH65-EU-W | 2007654300140 |
| 65w-usb-c-charger | EU (Type C) | Black | CH65-EU-B | 2007654300157 |
| 65w-usb-c-charger | AU/NZ (Type I) | White | CH65-AU-W | 2007654300164 |
| 65w-usb-c-charger | AU/NZ (Type I) | Black | CH65-AU-B | 2007654300171 |
Each plug type is a different physical item with its own barcode, so it belongs in a variant, not in a tag or the description. Shopify allows up to three options per product (as of October 2026, see the Shopify Help Center), so plug type and color still leave room for a third option, such as cable length.

How it works
You send your supplier data and tell us which fields you need, we reply with a free, custom quote, and then the job runs in four steps.
We gather descriptions, images, and specifications from you and your suppliers. We can hold publishing until a launch date you set.
Price lists, spec sheets, manuals, and photos. We can hold a product until its release date.
We fix inaccuracies and inconsistencies, and standardize names, sizes, and formats to your store's conventions.
Specs are put into one format and unit, and supplier color codes become your color names.
We check everything for accuracy, clarity, and searchability before it goes live.
Every variant's model number, SKU, and barcode is checked against the source before upload.
We upload and publish to your store, formatted and ready for customers, with progress updates along the way.
For a large range we can upload a small test batch first, so you can check the spec layout on your store, then the rest.

FAQ
Yes, we upload electronics and gadgets to Shopify for you, with specs and barcodes entered as the manufacturer supplies them. These answers cover variants, compatibility, barcodes, and cost.
Yes. We set up each product with options such as Color, Storage or Plug type, so every combination becomes its own variant with a SKU, barcode, price, and stock quantity. Shopify allows up to 2,048 variants and three options per product (as of October 2026).
We enter compatible models, devices, and platforms exactly as the manufacturer lists them, as a clear list on the product. When the item itself changes by model, such as a phone case, each model becomes its own variant with its own SKU.
We check that every variant has its own barcode with the right number of digits and that no two variants share one. We use the barcodes your supplier or manufacturer assigned, because barcodes (GTINs) are issued through GS1, not created by us.
No. We enter specifications, battery details, and safety warnings exactly as the manufacturer or your supplier provides them, and we ask you when two sources disagree. We don't test products or review safety or compliance.
Free, and custom to your catalog. Variants and specs drive the work: a single cable has one SKU and a short spec list, while a camera range with bodies, kits, and bundles needs every combination and its box contents entered.
Yes. Our product data entry service adds new models, updates prices and specs on existing products, and hides or archives discontinued models when you tell us to.
Your supplier price lists, manufacturer spec sheets or links to the brand's product pages, product photos, and any naming rules your store follows, such as Brand + Model + Key spec + Color.
Yes. Our SEO product descriptions explain what the specs mean for the shopper in plain words, in place of manufacturer copy. We only describe features the manufacturer states.
As variants of one product. Each plug type is a different physical item with its own SKU and barcode, so we label it with its plug letter, such as Type A or Type G, and enter voltage and units the way your market reads them.
